When two devotees of Meher Baba came in His presence expressing difference of opinion, the Avatar said:

"I bring out your weaknesses because I love you. Be honest. Weaknesses there are. Do not be afraid of them. You must be afraid of dishonesty.

"Who does not get bad thoughts? They are the foundation of life. No house can stand without its foundation.

"Thoughts can be good or bad, one should take care of one's action. Had it not been for the weaknesses of everyone, there would have been no difference between Me and you."
