ELEPHANTS
Ivy Oneita Duce
When Meher Baba was asked as to what should be the correct
and safest attitude of people towards saints, he very knowingly
recalled the significant words of the Persian Poet, Hafiz:
Either do not form friendship with an elephant driver;
Or be prepared to receive his elephant as well.*
