FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF HIS LIFE IN THE ASHRAM

Najoo Kotwal

When we were beginning our lives on the Hill with the women, Baba sent Father to Manmad, where for the first six months of his life in the ashram he was kept in seclusion in a room near Ankai Hillock with three other men.

Ankar is a place of pilgrimage of a Hindu saint, Agarsatya Muni. Father was directed not to read or write, and he had to keep complete silence. He was also ordered to repeat the name of Yezdan for two hours daily. We did not see Father again for nearly a year.
