MEDITATION FOR THE MANDALI

Judith Garbett

When we were in Mandali Hall after lunch, Mani came in from the women's side and sat toward the back of the room.

After hearing a young American tell of his meditation involvement, Mani said, so gently and naturally, that meditation for the mandali was simply thinking of Baba all day long, regardless of what they were doing or how occupied they were. She said the sole ingredient for such meditation is love from the heart.

When you love someone you can't help thinking of that one all the time, it is so natural and effortless; while the meditation of the mind requires much effort and concentration. That is not only difficult, but can even become a burden.
